As a non-profit organization, the Shelter for the Homeless relies heavily on the kindness and generosity of volunteers. Last year more than 500 people volunteered their time and energy to help realize the Shelter’s mission to empower people in their time of need.

Whether it’s helping to prepare and serve a meal through our Meal-a-Month Program, mentoring one of our clients in the Computer Cafe, helping out with fundraising efforts in our administrative office, or assisting at our annual events — Chocolate, Dessert & Wine Lover’s Evening in winter and Rays of Hope Gala in spring — we welcome and need your help.
